Activities
Day 1
Arusha/Moshi → Londorossi Gate → Forest Camp
✔ Meet in Arusha or Moshi in the morning and depart for Londorossi Gate.
✔ Begin trekking through lush rainforest with your guides.
✔ The trail is peaceful, shaded, and rich in wildlife.
✔ Overnight: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 m)
✔ Duration: 3–4 hrs
✔ Cross the plateau and descend slightly toward the Barranco Valley.
✔ Awesome ridgeline views and diverse flora.
✔ Overnight: Barranco Camp (3,950 m)
✔ Duration: 5–6 hrs
Shira 2 → Barranco Camp
Day 3
✔ Conquer the iconic Barranco Wall (great photo opportunity!).
✔ Traverse to Karanga Camp and then onward to Barafu Camp.
✔ Final summit prep briefing at camp
✔ Overnight: Barafu Camp (4,600 m)
✔ Duration: 6–8hrs
Barranco → Karanga → Barafu Camp
Day 4
Day 2
Mti Mkubwa Camp → Shira 2 Camp
✔ Depart forest for the sweeping Shira Plateau.
✔ Enjoy expansive views and gentle trail, ideal for acclimatization.
✔ Overnight: Shira 2 Camp (≈ 3,850 m)
✔ Duration: 6–7 hrs
Day 5
Barafu → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp
✔ Midnight summit push toward Uhuru Peak (5,895 m).
✔ Celebrate sunrise from Africa’s highest point!
✔ Descend to Mweka Camp
✔ Overnight: Mweka Camp (3,100 m)
✔ Duration: 12–14 hrs
Day 6
Mweka → Mweka Gate → Arusha/Moshi
✔ Final descent through rainforest.
✔ Collect summit certificates.
✔ Transfer back to your hotel in town.
✔ Duration: 3–4 hrs
